F.L.Wright nacque nel 1867 nel Wisconsin (USA) e giovanissimo entrò all?Università del Wisconsin, Facoltà di Ingegneria.
Studiò poi Architettura a Chicago dove nel 1893 aprì uno studio proprio. Ebbe tre mogli e sette figli.
È considerato uno dei più importanti architetti del XX secolo. Al suo attivo più di 1000 progetti di case, uffici, chiese, scuole, musei, nel corso di 70 anni di infaticabile lavoro.
Ricordiamo tra gli altri: il Guggenheim Museum di New York (Tempio dell?Arte) e la Sinagoga di Elkin Spark in Pennsylvania (Tempio della Fede).
Il suo principale obbiettivo fu quello di armonizzare le forme architettoniche con l?ambiente in cui queste si inseriscono cioè il concetto ?globale? dell?Architettura.
Esempio di questa visione rimane la sua famosa casa sulla cascata ('Fallingwater House').
Morì a Phoenix in Arizona nel 1959.

Frank Lloyd Wright, was born in 1867 in Wisconsin (USA) and very young he studied Engineering an the Wisconsin University.
Then he studied Architecture in Chicago where in 1893 he opened an office. He was married thrice and had seven sons. He is considered one of the most important architects of the 20th century. He worked for over a thousand projects of house, offices, churches , schools and museums, during 70 years of hard and continuous work.
We just quote a couple for all: the New York Guggenheim Museum (temple of the Arts) and the Elkin Spark Synagogue (PA) (temple of the Religion).
His main goal was to harmonize architectural forms and the ambience where these inscribe, that is to say the concept of ?global? architecture whose unsurpassed exemple is the Falling Water House.
He died in Phoenix (AZ) in 1959.
